I think I shall start blogging now, even though I'm still at MPS. There's like nothing to do, and it's still too early to end.

Was having dinner at Macs just now, and there were these group of guys next to my table. Apparently, they were O level grads and are now waiting for the posting results. And there was this guy saying a lot of bad things about YJC, like YJC is very boring, school hours are very long etcetc.

And this got me thinking, what do the current generation really want? Do they want to have a bright career or do they just want to play? No doubt I'm older than them by only two years, but there seems to be a big difference in our way of thinking.

And seriously, I don't see what is wrong with YJC. It's just like any other college, except that we accept people who are 20 pointers. There are still people in our school who can excel. And this made me recall a conversation I had with my cousin from CJC, who also graduated in the same year as me.

This society is not as meritocratic as it says it is. People look at our background, rather than our ability. Like what my cousin said, scholarship givers really only consider about those from RJC or HCI. As for people from the colleges that are 'not-as-good', we can only dream of it.

Nevertheless, I think I'll still apply for it. I just hope that they can at least consider my application even though I'm from YJC.
