long time nv blog le.. so allow me to blog about the last few days..
tuesday
haha.. today is a super tiring day..
first lesson:maths. before maths, i had borrowed eric's nds to play during the break.. so i conveniently put it on my table. it was soooo tempting me lah. i want to concentrate on the lesson but cannot.. i could have just turn it on and started playing, but i chose to listen to my classmates even though i know my answers are all correct..
after break was pe. played handball.. looks fun but is very very very tiring.. and i sprained my little finger.. den got chest pain.. so stopped playing after a while..
after gp lesson, was excused from school:) because of the ASEAN day PM Lee lecture.. so left school at 2pm to swissotel.. the journey was a long one, so talked to yupei about our past.. when we reached there, we found out that we were too early.. only a few schools and other countries' representatives were there. most of the people were not even there yet , not to mention PM Lee.. so we waited for about another hour for all the guests to arrive.. by the time all the guests arrived, i was already very tired le. and i dozed off twice during PM Lee's lecture.. it was all thanks to yupei, who constantly nudged me, that i managed to wake up, and prevent myself from malu-ing in front of the Prime Minister..
den after the lecture got a reception for all the guests.. and being there u can see all of us YJCians behaving like how Singaporeans should: rushing straight immediately to the food tables.. anw, the food there was GOOD!! i think that's the only word that can describe it.. the cheescake was heavenly, with the rich cheese, sweet blueberries and wonderful chocolate base.. it was so good that i ate quite a few slices.. i think im getting fat:p.. so the thing ended at around 5.30pm and we went back to school for teacher's day meeting.. left school only at 8plus..
wednesday: national day celebrations!!
had to reach school at 650.. and my father woke me up at 5!! wth.. wake up so early also no use.. prepare everything le go there also got nobody, can do nothing.. anyway, i think that the celebrations were quite a success.. no doubt it may not be as grand as those of secondary schools, without the many uniform group contingents. but at least we still have the house flag paries. and since most of them did not have any uniform group background, they should be applauded for their courage to take on this challenge..
and NA KOK PENG came to council room.. haha.. all of us suddenly got paranoid upon hearing the news that he was coming.. and all of us immediately went to clear up the student council room. he was the president of the 10th student council, captain of seletar house, and one of the best students.. of course we must clean it for his arrival..
after the celebrations, was pw.. eww.. and mr ganesh left us alone to do our work.. most of us left soon after he left the room.. seriously, who would bother staying back to do pw with such festive spirits?
anw, went back to PHS:) even with the recent incidents that have seriously damaged the school's reputation (i shall not say them, ask me if u want to noe wad happened), and with some changes in the school, i know one thing has not changed since i first entered it.. and that is the feeling of home. as the school song was played, i could see most of the exPHS students standing at full attention and singing at the top of our voices.. i think it is given even more respect than the national anthem.. hearing mrs tan speak was refreshing to our ears.. her voice was still the same as we last heard it during the collection of our O level results. at least it was better that listening to the cheong sam lady that we now have to endure every week, if you know what i mean:p...
and going back to PHS of course meant a reunion of old friends and teachers. mr ng, mrs lua (ex-ms kang), and the class of 2006. to see them again really touched me.. it's been only a few months and im getting so emo.. who knows what a few years could do to me??
this year's parade was held in the afternoon.. and i really pity the participants this year, having to endure the scorching sun. a large number of them fell out after some time.. anw, the antional day celebrations also marked the end of the sec 4 ug member's journey in their ccas.. watching them throw their flag into the sky reminded me of one year ago, as my journey as a BB boy ended.. i shall not say more about it or else i dont think i can finish by today:p
ok.. i think this post is getting too long le.. so i shall breiefly summarise the evnts that follow..
after the parade, walked around with xavier, shark, eugene, zhenyu, audrey, justina, junwei, shiling, yanjie, xueqing, daphne to look for old friends and the teachers who have taught us.. one thing i regretted is not bringing an extra t shirt to change into.. cos everywhere i went, the first comment that people make would be: "wah!! u student councillor ah?!?!"" and that eugene went around telling my old friends and teachers: "eh, guodong is a student councilor".. lol.. all of them doubt my ability as a leader..
left school only at 9 plus and lunched at northpoint with xueqing, daph, shiling and shark.. and went home after that..
wedneday: HAPPY NATIONAL DAY!!!!
