tem sem 07

long story today. so i'll just give a summary of what has happened. left school at around 7.50 today. attendance was quite good - 17/20. yeah.. so set off to SAFTI MI and reached there about 8.30.. when i reached there, jelly and i were the only ones wearing blazer larh.. all the others ps us, wear blazer for only second part. anw, i almost fell asleep during the two speeches by Mr Teo Chee hean and Ms Grace Fu. i cant tolerate long lectures.

after that, went for the mingling session with mingda and jelly. we were supposed to stand there and talk to mr teo while the CNA ppl took photos.. but mingda and i seriously couldn't even here what the minister was saying. the surroundings were just too loud. so, my eyes wandered and looked for people whom i could recognize from the videos. saw that VJC guy, NYJC PM and SHARON AND CHARLES!! omg, its such a small world.. sharon is currently in SAJC while charles is in MJC... they remind me of those PHS times..

left refreshments early to get prepared for the main show. so yanting, yeechien and me were in backstage, controlling the lights, sounds and slides.. then as the nominations for best animation were read out, and YJC's was shown (that chinese chasing indian slide), the whole auditorium practically roared into laughter.. and im not bragging. it really feels good that people acknowledge your work.. hope that my speech next thursday will be similar..

after announcing the nominations, was the prize presentation. after one week of knowing the results, my lips are finally not sealed. and here are the winners:

VJC- best performer
PJC- most enduring image
RJC- best production and best tagline

and last but not least, and predicted by me since last tuesday:

best animation production: YJC!!!

seriously, im still very surprised lah.. i dont know how we managed to win despite strong competition from NUS high, CJC, PJC and SAJC.. well, all i can say is thank you to all those who voted fro YJC and also thank God for guiding me through the production of the video. without support, i definitely would never had make it, and the award would never have been won.. and lastly, i would like to thank all my friends - candee and jelly- who have encouraged me during the hardest time of the production. without you guys, i think i would have given up..

and i believe tem sem have also taught us one more thing.. even with limited resources and the road seems dark, it is still possible for miracles to happen. just like us.. we may be one of the "worst" JCs in singapore. but so what??? did HCI win?? did NJC win?? we may seem "weaker" but that doesn't mean we can be defeated easily.

now that tem sem has ended.im starting to miss every single one of the coregroup members..

jelly, yanting, sabrina and jessica.. my closest friends in the group and pherhaps the only people whom i could talk to well from SRJC, PJC, AJC and MJC..

mingda.. the first person to talk to me from the group from JJC..

yeechien.. the friendly, enthu guy from TPJC..

weiling.. the quiet, smart one from NUS high..

elaine, greg, noel, sakthish, wendy, huifang, darren, wenzhe, weiwen.. the crazy/noisy ones from SAJC, RJC, NYJC, VJC, TJC, CJC, DHS, HCI and NJC..

fangfang, chunwui and joshua.. the always absent people from IJC, ACS(I) and ACJC..

and last but not least,

evelyn, wallace, chinghao and clarence.. our ever so friendly mentors who would always be there when we needed help..

thank you guys for helping out in the planning of this thing and for contributing towards a wonderful memory of this.. from strangers to ,now, a temsem cg "family".. we've really got closer, though we may be from different schools and with different backgrounds.. well, all good things will eventually come to an end.. and tem sem is no different..

sigh.. why is it that im always so sad when im involved in the planning of an event and it comes to an end?? the feeling is that of the seperation of a family.. am i getting too emotionally attached to them??

first, the orientation. then, the investiture. and now, temasek seminar..

the meeting on friday may be our last one.. but i really hope that we can still keep in touch with one another, especially for my 'clique'.. hope that everyone can make it for the final meeting this friday...

sigh.. after that.. all that is left is just memories, happy memories.....

to jelly: dun worry, k? cheer up!! :) YJC and SRJC will forever be better than RJC and HCI..
to candee: look for me in school..
